"The June edition coincided with me getting despondent about being able to produce a black and white print without a colour cast.

For the first time I decided to put my money where your words are and try one of the services reviewed - Focal Point Imaging in Exeter, (I live in North Yorkshire). Fantastic - what great customer service from Chas and his colleagues. I use the Linux operating system and Gimp photo editing software - I was also inspired to profile my monitor. So, test files and prints later I now have a reliable and consistent print service.

All printing carried out from PC computers.
Images should be supplied on PC readble disk.
For wide format printing we prefer tif format with adobe1998.icc embeded.
For Fontier printing images should be saved as 8bit sRGB .JPG format files.

Processing and printing is undertaken utilizing latest in image production with the Fuji Frontier, which can offer high quality printing to Fuji Crystal Archive DP paper to a maximum size of 10x15" from film, prints and digital files.

Large format printing up to 64" wide via the Epson 11880 printer which resembles your desktop printer (only much larger) onto various papers, is also available on site. Scanning of images to your specification, written to CD and prepared ready for the suitable output. All these facilities are under one roof, along with unbiased advice, which sometimes is detrimental to us gaining a sale.
